Saw blade is a general term for thin circular cutters used for cutting solid materials. Saw blades are used for cutting work. Therefore, they are generally required to have high hardness, wear resistance and service life. For this reason, we often use medium frequency induction heating machines to heat treat saw blades to meet their working requirements. Today, the editor will introduce to you the medium frequency heat treatment process of saw blades.
The types of saw blades are also very different due to different application places. There are many types of saw blades, and I cannot introduce them to you one by one. Today, I will take the 65Mn steel woodworking saw blade as an example to briefly introduce its heat treatment process. The specific process is as follows:
1. Stress relief annealing. Large saw blades are all punched out of steel plates (a few are cut and then turned). Some have teeth milled before quenching, and some have teeth ground after quenching. If not removed, the large stress generated by mechanical processing will inevitably cause damage after quenching. Large deformation will occur. The stress relief annealing process is: straight clamping, 500-550℃x3-4h.
2. Preheat. A medium frequency induction heating machine is used for preheating heat treatment, and the process is 580-620℃×5-6min.
3. Heating. Use a medium frequency induction heating machine for heating, 815-825℃×3-4min.
4. Cool. Isothermal quenching is carried out in nitrate salt, 300-320℃x20-25min. The isothermal temperature and time are very particular. A higher temperature is better. The isothermal time should not exceed 30min, otherwise it will be difficult to flatten.
5. Tempering. Tempering is carried out using a medium frequency induction heating machine. It needs to be clamped at 380-400℃x2h. After the tempering is out of the oven, it can be clamped again while it is still hot, and then cooled to room temperature and taken apart.
6. Finished products are stress relieved. Due to the large machining stress, the finished product will warp after being placed for a period of time. Therefore, a medium frequency induction heating machine must be used for stress relief annealing. The process is 150-180℃x3-4h.
The quality of saw blades depends largely on the level of heat treatment. Therefore, it is very important to master the heat treatment process of saw blades. Today, the editor briefly introduces to you the medium-frequency heat treatment process of 65Mn steel woodworking saw blades. I hope you can apply it to your work.
