The driven shaft is an important part of automobiles, tractors, etc. Its working performance requires high wear resistance and hardness. For this reason, we use a medium frequency induction heating machine to quench the driven shaft. Zhengzhou Gou's has been engaged in the production and sales of induction heating equipment for more than fifteen years. Today, our technical staff will tell you about the process parameters for quenching the driven shaft.

For induction hardening of the driven shaft, we choose a medium frequency induction heating machine with a frequency of 8000Hz.

1) Sensor. The inductor for quenching the driven shaft is based on the maximum shaft diameter D of the quenched part, and the inner diameter of the induction coil is determined to be D+6mm based on a gap of 3mm. The height is 20mm. During the water spraying process, the heating effect should not be affected. After several tests, the distance between the water spray ring and the induction coil was determined to be 20mm, and the water spray hole was designed to be inclined downward at 15°. When heating parts, the water spray ring should pass the bottom E The inner diameter of the large plate and water spray ring is set to (E + 10 mm), and an inductor is used for the entire workpiece heating process.

2) Process parameters. The induction heat treatment process adjustment is carried out after the CNC quenching machine tool and process equipment are completed. According to the technical conditions of the quenched parts, the process adjustment includes electrical specification adjustment and heat treatment specification adjustment.

The adjustment of electrical specifications is mainly to adjust the power required for quenching and to ensure that the medium frequency induction heating furnace is not overloaded and is in good working condition. The adjustment of heat treatment specifications mainly includes: moving speed, heating temperature, quenching temperature or heating, pre-cooling time, selection of quenching medium and its concentration, temperature, flow or pressure, adjustment of the relative position of parts and sensors, etc.

1. Frequency selection. In order to achieve high-quality induction heating at a defined depth, the frequency of the equipment must be correctly selected.

2. Parts moving speed. Part movement speed is the ratio of the distance the part travels through the inductor to the time it takes for the part to reach quenching temperature over that distance.

3. Heating temperature. When determining the heating temperature, the phase transition critical point and recrystallization temperature of metals and alloys are the basic theoretical basis, but the heating temperature of various heat treatment processes cannot be determined on this basis, but should be determined according to the specific heat treatment purpose of the workpiece. The raw material and size of the workpiece, the processing process and the technology method to be used all have an impact on the selection of the heating temperature. The purpose of induction heating is mainly to make the surface of the part reach a suitable quenching temperature and to make the part reach a certain depth of the hardened layer.

4. Quenching method. Use continuous heating quenching and liquid spray cooling quenching methods.
