When the steel strip is annealed with a medium frequency induction heating machine, what are the measures to reduce the vibration of the steel strip?

When the steel strip is annealed in an intermediate frequency heating furnace, the main process problems are uneven heating temperature distribution and vibration of the steel strip under the action of a strong magnetic field. These two problems will greatly affect the heat treatment effect of the workpiece, and then affects the expanded application of this process, therefore, it is very important to understand its mitigation measures. Today, the editor will tell you about measures to reduce the vibration of steel belts.

The steel strip vibrates under the action of electromagnetic force in the transverse magnetic field, and the intensity of the vibration intensifies as the intensity of the magnetic field increases. The vibration of the steel strip in the sensor gap will affect the uniform distribution of the induced current and the surface quality of the steel strip. It is necessary to control the vibration intensity of the steel strip to ensure the forward speed of the steel strip. The following measures can be taken to reduce the vibration of the steel belt.

(1) Measures taken during low-temperature annealing treatment. When the annealing temperature is below 350°C, the steel strip has a high yield strength and can withstand large tensile stress without plastic elongation. In this case, the vibration of the steel belt can be reduced by increasing the tension of the tension roller. It is best to reasonably determine the tension applied to the steel strip with a tension sensor. At the same time, a clamping roller is installed at the inlet and outlet of the sensor to control the amplitude of the steel strip and maintain the forward speed of the steel strip.

(2) Measures taken during high temperature annealing treatment. When using a medium frequency induction heating machine for annealing at 600-800°C, because the yield strength of cold-rolled low carbon steel at high temperatures is very low, the deformation resistance is only 100-150MPa. Therefore, preventing steel strip vibration mainly relies on increasing the number of pairs of pressure rollers, and using tension to control vibration must be done with the participation of tension sensors.

This article briefly introduces the measures to reduce the vibration of the steel strip. After many manufacturers adopt the above measures for heat treatment, the vibration of the steel strip is greatly reduced, which ensures the heat treatment quality of the steel strip.
