In the process of rapid heat treatment of steel by IGBT medium frequency induction heating power supply, in order to make the heating and cooling of the steel uniform, in addition to requiring the steel to advance at a constant speed, it is also hoped that the steel itself can rotate forward to make the heating and cooling more uniform. At the same time, rotating forward can evenly distribute the internal stress of the heat-treated steel and reduce its bending deformation. Therefore, the rotation and advancement of steel plays a very important role in improving the quality of heat treatment.

The rotating advancement of steel is mainly used for the quenching and tempering heat treatment of steel pipes and large bars. Commonly used rotation methods include: horizontal inclined rollers, cross rollers, special rotating mechanisms for large-diameter steel pipes, etc.

For the horizontal tilt-mounted roller rotating mechanism, the installation inclination of the rollers is adjustable, and the installation inclination angle is usually less than 45°C. This inclined roller assumes the dual functions of the steel pipe's forward speed and rotation speed. Therefore, when adjusting any one speed, changes in the other speed must be taken into account.

As the diameter of the steel pipe increases, the requirements for uniformity of heating and cooling increase. It is necessary to find the appropriate rotation speed based on the length of the IGBT intermediate frequency heating power inductor and the diameter of the steel pipe. Usually the rollers are mounted on an angle-adjustable base. The distance between the powered rollers depends on the size of the heat-treated steel pipe. The larger the diameter of the steel pipe, the larger the distance.

The structure of the cross-roller rotating mechanism relies on two cross-distributed power rollers to clamp the steel material, and the steel material rotates forward through the rotational friction of the rollers. The adjustment of the rotation speed during advancement is controlled by the speed of the variable frequency speed regulating motor. The installation spacing of the cross rollers is determined by the specifications of the heat-treated steel.

The roller rotating mechanism is a simple device used to rotate the steel pipe during heat treatment of small diameter steel pipes. It installs several pairs of rollers on the conveyor roller parallel to the forward direction of the steel pipe. One of each pair of rollers is an active roller and the other is a passive roller. The surface of the driving roller is processed with helical teeth. When it rotates, friction is generated at the contact point with the steel pipe, driving the steel pipe to rotate. The driving roller is driven by a DC motor through a transmission system. The rotation speed of the steel pipe is controlled by the speed of the driving roller, and the speed of the driving roller is controlled by the DC motor. If a variable frequency speed motor is used instead of a DC motor, the entire system will be simplified. This mechanism has been improved and can be used in induction quenching and tempering treatment production lines for small-diameter steel pipes.

Its advantage is that the forward speed of the steel pipe and the rotation speed of the steel pipe are divided into two systems that do not interfere with each other for adjustment, which greatly simplifies the operation. When adjusting the forward speed of the steel pipe, you only need to send a signal to the horizontal roller drive motor and change the motor frequency to achieve adjustment of the horizontal forward speed. When the rotation speed needs to be adjusted, the rotation speed can be adjusted by changing the frequency of the rotating mechanism motor through human operation. Usually, the adjustment of the Korean halo rotation speed is not frequent. It is only adjusted when the steel pipe specifications are changed and the specification distance is large.
