As we all know, one of the more important reasons why medium frequency induction heating power supply is becoming more and more popular among people is that it can protect itself. However, during long-term use, its protection part may cause some failures. Today, the editor will tell you about the faults that may occur in the protection part of the medium frequency induction heating power supply.
(1) The device burns out the inverter thyristor from time to time. This kind of fault is usually caused by a problem with the overcurrent and overvoltage system. You should focus on checking whether the internal windings of the 5/0.1 current transformer and the medium frequency voltage transformer are open circuit. This is because the thin wire diameter is easily corroded by bad environmental gases. Cause disconnection, as a result, the overcurrent, current limiting, overvoltage, and voltage limiting protections will fail. If the medium-frequency induction heating power supply system has an instantaneous bad cause and the current and voltage suddenly change suddenly, exceeding the rated current and withstand voltage value of the thyristor will cause the thyristor to burn out.
(2) The device is positioned to continuously burn thyristors. When the medium frequency induction heating power supply has been used for many years or the circulating water quality is poor, if the thyristor is replaced blindly without detailed inspection after burning, the replaced thyristor will burn out again. There are generally three reasons for this failure:
1) It may be related to the disconnection of the resistor-capacitor protection circuit connected to the position of the burned thyristor and the failure of the capacitor due to dryness. It should be carefully checked and replaced.
2) The thyristor may be caused by poor insulation of the pulse transformer at the corresponding position or poor contact of the control electrode wiring. At this time, the wiring should be welded firmly or a new pulse transformer should be replaced.
3) The internal corrosion of the thyristor water diffuser (or water jacket) is serious or the scale is too thick, which causes poor heat dissipation and causes burning of the thyristor. The treatment method is of course to use hydrochloric acid to flush, but too many times of hydrochloric acid flushing will cause the interior of the water jacket to corrode. The water does not circulate inside the water jacket, but directly flows out from the outlet, forming a false impression of good water flow, which instead leads to repeated firing of the thyristor. Therefore, it is best to replace the water jacket with a new one.
We all know that the failure of the medium frequency induction heating power supply will affect the service life of the equipment. Therefore, in the process of using the equipment, we should maintain and maintain the equipment frequently, so as to make the equipment more durable.
