Under what working conditions does the high-frequency annealing machine use robots or manipulators?

Although high-frequency annealing machines have various advantages in heat treatment of workpieces, for heat treatment of extra-large workpieces, if the operation is to be more convenient and mechanized, high-frequency annealing machines alone cannot do this. Sometimes, if there is help from robots or manipulators, the entire operation will be more mechanized and intelligent. Today, the editor will tell you about the working conditions under which high-frequency annealing machines use robots or manipulators.

As early as the 1980s, robots have been used in induction hardening machine tools. Robotic operation is mainly used in the following aspects:

1) The workpiece is bulky. The use of robot operation can reduce the operator's labor intensity and improve productivity. For example: EFD Company uses robots to load and unload car crankshafts on the CIHM x x-R crankshaft quenching machine tool, with a maximum productivity of 60 pieces/h.

2) Loading and unloading of multiple workpieces. The development of multi-axis quenching machine tools makes it impossible for operators to load and unload multiple workpieces at one time, so they can only use robots. The robot used by SAET can install four axes with a length of 1000mm at a time.

3) Hot workpiece loading and unloading. After the flywheel ring gear is quenched, it should originally be heated by high frequency, heat installed on the flywheel, and fixed to the flywheel with shrink fit. Nowadays, using manipulators, the flywheel ring gear that is being self-tempered after quenching can be directly put onto the flywheel while it is still hot, thereby reducing the number of processes. Therefore, the use of robots is very consistent with labor protection regulations.

4) In chemical heat treatments such as induction heating impregnation, the role of robots can be further utilized.

5) Use robot operation to perform advanced induction hardening process performances. At the ASM Heat Treatment Exhibition in the United States, a robot was used to operate the inductor for curved surface induction quenching, and the enhanced concentrated magnetic field effect after the magnet was installed across the inductor was promoted.

How about, with the addition of robots or manipulators, will the entire heat treatment operation become more mechanized, intelligent, and advanced? However, due to its high cost, small and medium-sized enterprises are still out of reach of it, but the editor believes that it will eventually be applied to every enterprise.
