The material of the guide rail on the SI-232 cam lathe bed is CrWMn steel, and the heat treatment technical requirements: the surface hardness is 61-66HRC. In order to meet the above requirements, many manufacturers use medium frequency induction heating equipment for heat treatment, with good results.
(1) Process flow. Forging - normalizing - spheroidizing annealing - rough planing - high temperature aging, half fine planing, drilling - quenching, cold treatment, tempering, half fine grinding - low temperature aging - fine grinding.
(2) Heat treatment process
1) Normalize the fire. It is carried out using medium frequency induction heating equipment, the heating temperature is (920±10) ℃, and it is cooled in flowing air. After normalizing, the grain size is ≥5 and the network carbide is ≤3.
2) Spheroidizing annealing. Heated at 770-790℃, cooled to 680-800℃ and kept for 4-6 hours, then cooled to below 450℃ and released. Hardness is 207-255HBW. The pearlite spheroidization level should be level 2-4.
3) Quenching. Medium frequency induction heating equipment is used for quenching heat treatment at a temperature of 840°C, oil cooling, and then stress relief treatment.
4) Tempering. The heating temperature is 160-180℃, and the temperature is maintained for 3-4 hours.
Many manufacturers use the above process for heat treatment. The quality of the produced guide rails is good, the hardness meets the technical requirements, the service life and wear resistance are greatly improved, and it meets the needs of the work. What's even better is that this process is suitable for large-scale production and can greatly improve workers' production efficiency.
