The half shaft is the main part for transmitting torque in automobiles and tractors. During the working process, the half shaft inevitably has to bear huge friction, so it wears out relatively quickly. For this reason, many manufacturers use medium frequency induction quenching equipment for heat treatment, with good results. Today, we will not talk about the induction hardening process of the half shaft, but we will talk about the determination of its parameters.
Determination of half shaft quenching process parameters:
1. Equipment: medium frequency induction quenching equipment and CNC quenching machine tools.
2. Process parameters
Use medium frequency, continuous heating and quenching cooling method.
Workpiece rotation speed: n=6-10r/min, part moving speed is 204-220mm/min, electrical parameters are detailed in the table below.

Cooling medium: AQ-251 aqueous solution, concentration 10%-12%.
The quenching temperature is 860℃; the tempering temperature is 200-220℃.
