When we mention the inductor, we all know that it is an important part of the medium frequency induction heating machine and is necessary for heating the workpiece. Its suitability is directly related to the heat treatment quality of the workpiece. Therefore, a suitable sensor is very important for the workpiece. It is the basis for ensuring the quality of the workpiece. Today, let’s take a look at the sensors used for guide rail quenching.

The medium frequency inductor for guide rails is made of φ12mm or φ14mm T1 and T2 pure copper tubes drawn into square tubes and made into a double-circuit effective circle imitating the guide rail shape. One of the circuits functions as preheating and is called a preheating circle. Another loop completes the quenching and heating of the guide rail surface and sprays liquid for cooling and quenching, which is called a heating circle. The distance between the heating ring and the preheating ring: If only the heating ring is equipped with a magnetic conductor, and the preheating ring is not installed, the distance should be 5-6nm. If both the heating ring and the preheating ring are equipped with magnetic conductors, the spacing should be 10-12mm. The reduction of this spacing is beneficial to avoid the occurrence of quenching soft bands at both ends of the guide rail.

Drill water spray holes along the 45° direction on the outer inner edge of the inductor heating ring, with a diameter of φ1mm and a center distance of 3mm. When the quenching area is large and the water inflow is insufficient, 2-3 additional water inlet holes can be added to the sensor. In order to improve the heating effect, magnetic conductors can be installed on the preheating ring and heating ring of the inductor. The location and quantity of the magnetic conductors should be determined through process testing.
