The ordinary trapezoidal screw is an important part of the machine tool. It has to withstand huge friction during the working process. Therefore, production requires it to have high hardness, high wear resistance and long service life. In order to meet the needs of work, many manufacturers use medium frequency induction quenching machines for heat treatment, with good results.
The medium frequency induction quenching automatic line is composed of a medium frequency induction quenching machine, a mechanical transmission device, a straightening device, a temperature and hardness detection device, etc. It replaces the original resistance furnace heating method and enables the screw blank to be continuously heated, tempered and straightened in one go. The entire set The production line is automatically controlled by PLC, which can significantly reduce energy consumption and improve productivity and product quality.
The process flow of the automatic line: automatic feeding - mechanical transmission - induction quenching and heating - water spray cooling - induction tempering and heating - mechanical straightening - residual heat self-tempering - automatic unloading.
Partial surface quenching of the screw is always carried out before finishing the thread. The screw square head and journal can be quenched with a medium frequency induction hardening machine. Depending on the length of the quenched part, it can be quenched by simultaneous heating and then water cooling or continuous heating. The surface quenching heating temperature of 45 steel and 40Cr steel is controlled at 870-900°C, and both can be cooled by water. Tempering is generally performed using this equipment, and the hardness after tempering is 42-47HRC.
After this heat treatment, the hardness and wear resistance of the ordinary trapezoidal screw are greatly improved, meeting the needs of the work.
