A. Preparation before working on induction heating equipment
① Clean the oil stains and other dirt on the workpiece to prevent smoke from being produced during heating.
② Clean the burrs and iron filings on the workpiece to prevent arcing and burns to the sensor and workpiece.
③ Check the workpiece for cracks.
④Select equipment and quenching method. According to the shape and size of the process card or workpiece and the required hardening layer depth, select the frequency meter power of the induction heating quenching equipment to determine the equipment used.
⑤Select the sensor according to the shape of the process card or workpiece.
⑥Install the workpiece and sensor, pass water to the sensor, and adjust the water pressure to the appropriate pressure. Start the quenching machine tool, rotate the workpiece and observe whether the gap between the workpiece and the sensor is uniform, whether the relative axial position is appropriate, etc.
B. Induction heating equipment operating steps
①Adjust the surface quenching parameters of the induction heating machine, adjust the parameters according to the process card, or first place the coupling water wheel or the feedback first wheel in the middle position to send high voltage, first send half wave, and adjust the sliding transformer to gradually increase the value to full wave. The maximum value of the anode voltage is generally 11-13KV, and the maximum value can be 13.5KV. The anode current is adjusted by the coupling handwheel, and the ridge current is adjusted by the feedback first wheel. Colleagues, I Yang/I Delete maintains the specified value. If the wallpaper is wrong, you can repeatedly adjust the coupling handwheel and feedback handwheel. During the adjustment process, if the tank circuit voltage remains unchanged, it means that the I positive/I grid ratio has been adjusted well to obtain greater output power.
② Visually inspect or use a time relay to control the temperature.
③. Cool according to the process card or as needed.
C. Key points for operating induction heating equipment
① During continuous heating and quenching, if the diameter of the workpiece is large or the equipment power is insufficient, the preheating and continuous heating and quenching method can be used, that is, the inductor (or workpiece) is used to move in the reverse direction to preheat, and then immediately moves forward for continuous heating and quenching.
② When the required depth of the quenching hardness layer exceeds the heat penetration depth achieved by the existing equipment, the preheating and continuous heating quenching method can be used to deepen the depth of the hardness layer.
③In order to make the heating temperature of the workpiece uniform, the workpiece should be rotated as much as possible.
④ When quenching and cooling the gear workpiece, it should be carried out on a quenching machine tool, and the outer edge linear speed should be <500mm/s. Otherwise, too fast rotation may easily cause insufficient quenching hardness on one side of the gear and keyway. A non-rotational movement method can also be used.
⑤ When quenching gears with internal and external teeth, the internal teeth should be quenched first, and then the external teeth should be quenched. If necessary, water cooling can be used to cool the internal teeth.
⑥When quenching gears with clutch claws on the end face, the claws should be quenched first and then the gear. If necessary, cool the jaws first.
⑦ In single-piece or sporadic production, it is not necessary to make the sensor tilted at a certain angle for the convenience of operation. The low end of the sensor is close to the big end of the bevel gear, and the high end of the sensor is close to the small end of the bevel gear. After adjusting the tilt angle of the sensor, the sensor is The gap between the bevel gear and the bevel gear makes the gear temperature uniform along the tooth width direction before cooling.
⑧When large-module gears are continuously heated and quenched by single teeth, in order to ensure the consistency of the gap between the sensor and the tooth, a prototype is generally used to position the tooth groove.
D. Precautions when operating induction heating equipment
1. The workpiece must not have oil stains or burrs
2. No-load heating is allowed
3. Each electrical parameter shall not exceed the allowed maximum value.
4. Do not touch the workpiece and sensor during heating
5. When heating, the workpiece and the sensor must not touch to avoid breakdown of the sensor and burning of the workpiece.
6. The sensor must not be deformed due to falling or bumping, and must not leak.
