Do you understand the characteristics of series resonant voltage inverters for medium frequency induction heating equipment?

Anyone who knows about medium frequency induction heating equipment knows that the inverter is an important part of the equipment and a key factor affecting the normal operation of the equipment. Inverters used for medium frequency induction heating equipment mainly include series resonant voltage-type inverters and parallel resonant current-type inverters. Today, the editor will tell you about the characteristics of series resonance voltage type inverter.

This inverter has the following characteristics:

(1) Easy to put in load power. The wiring inductance can offset the load inductance and has the effect of Cd. Therefore, even a low-voltage circuit operating near the resonant frequency can inject a large current. The equivalent impedance of the induction heating load is mostly tens of ohms. If the DC voltage of the inverter is several hundred V, it is enough to provide hundreds of KW of power. This feature shows that such a system can be formed by using low-voltage switching devices in parallel, so it is highly practical.

(2) Load matching is easy. When selecting switching devices, appropriate current and voltage must be considered. In order to facilitate load matching, the inverter generally outputs through a matching transformer. The load voltage required for the necessary load power and the optimal operating voltage requirements of the switching device can be obtained by adjusting the primary and secondary coil turns ratio of the matching transformer. During design, the purpose can be achieved by simply adding the leakage inductance of the matching transformer to the load inductance, and the design has a large degree of freedom.

In addition, in order to avoid the matching transformer from being damaged, a part of the secondary resonant capacitor can be extracted and connected in series with the primary coil of the matching transformer.

It is precisely because the series resonant voltage-type inverter has these characteristics that it is widely used in medium-frequency induction heating equipment. This article only briefly introduces some information about series resonant voltage inverter. If you want to know more information, you can consult our technical staff.
