When does induction heating equipment use robots and manipulators?

As early as the 1980s, robots have been used in induction hardening machine tools. Using robot operation, it is mainly used in the following aspects:

 

1 .The workpiece is bulky. The use of robot operation can reduce the operator's labor intensity and improve productivity. For example, Zhengzhou Gou's Electromagnetic Induction Heating Equipment Co., Ltd. uses robots to load and unload axle quenching machine tools, and the productivity can reach 40 pieces/h.

 

2 .The development of multi-station loading and unloading and multi-station quenching machine tools makes it impossible for operators to load and unload multiple workpieces at one time, and can only use robots. Our company uses robots to quench 2-3 axles at a time.

 

3.For hot workpiece assembly, after the flywheel ring gear is quenched, power frequency heating should be used, heat assembly is performed on the flywheel, and shrink fit is used to fix it to the flywheel. Nowadays, using manipulators, the flywheel ring gear that is being self-tempered after quenching can be directly put onto the flywheel while it is still hot, thereby reducing the number of processes. Therefore, the use of robots or manipulators is very consistent with labor protection regulations.

 

4 .When chemical media are used in induction heating and quenching, especially chemical heat treatment, the work of robots or manipulators can be further utilized.
