What should we pay attention to when installing and using the magnet of high-frequency induction heating power supply?

When the high-frequency induction heating power supply performs heat treatment such as induction hardening on the workpiece, sometimes it is necessary to install a magnetic conductor to concentrate the magnetic lines of force and change the current distribution. 1) In order to facilitate installation and save materials, the processable magnetic conductor can be bonded from several pieces of materials. It can be processed after bonding or bonded after processing.

2) The silicon steel sheet magnet is often fixed with a pure copper baffle lined with insulating foil (mica or PTFE film). The pure copper baffle can wrap part of the silicon steel sheet bundle after being bent.

3) If the magnetic conductor is straddling two conductors with potential differences, a slit can be cut in the middle to prevent short circuit between turns.

4) When installing the magnetic conductor of the high-frequency induction heating power supply, the most critical thing is the matching gap with the effective circle. In the past, the insulation method of using 0.5-1mm mica sheets between the magnet and the effective ring has now been replaced by insulating glue. It is both convenient and better able to take away heat from the magnet. The single-sided gap between the magnetic conductor and the effective ring should be controlled between 0.1-0.2mm.

5) To fix the machinable magnetic conductor on the effective circle, small holes can be drilled on the back of the magnetic conductor (with M3-M6 bolts, selected according to the size of the magnetic conductor block). At this time, the corresponding bolts (made of brass) should be welded on the effective ring, and after installing the magnet, screw on the nuts to fix it. This nut should not be tightened too much to avoid crushing the magnet. It is better to use a plastic nut. Since the inductor of the high-frequency induction heating power supply vibrates during operation, the nut can be bonded with adhesive, which is also called thread locking.

6) When the total thickness of the silicon steel sheet bundle laminations is very thick, in order to prevent thermal expansion, 0.2mm mica foil is inserted between the arch-bridge-shaped drums on the effective ring to relieve this expansion stress. It must be pointed out that the laminates must be installed tightly and not loosely.
