Such preheating, heating, cooling, annealing, and tempering can greatly improve the service life of the saw blade.

The teeth of the bimetal saw blade are made of M2 or M42 steel, and the back is made of 50CrMnV. They are integrated by electron beam welding to form a bimetal saw blade, which effectively solves the problem that carbon steel is not wear-resistant and high-speed steel saw blades are easy to bend and break. The key to the heat treatment of bimetal saw blades is how to overcome the bow bending, saw tooth shedding, plane bending of the saw blade caused by quenching, and the oxidation of the saw blade when heated at high temperatures. The heat treatment process is introduced as follows.

1) Preheat. Use a special plate-shaped hanging device, 55℃ air furnace preheating + 850℃ salt bath preheating.

2) Heating. The heating temperature of M42 hacksaw blade is 1160℃, and the heating time is 45s.

3) Cool down. Classify in neutral salt at 600-620℃ for 1 minute and then cool in air. The metallographic grade is controlled at level 11-11.5. Cool to room temperature and rinse with boiling water.

4) Tempering. Clamp straight tempering, 560℃×lh x3 times. The hardness after tempering is 65 -67HRC.

The bimetal saw blade processed according to the above process is sharp in cutting, wear-resistant, and will not break when bent or twisted, which greatly improves the service life of the saw blade.
