How should the water cooling and water spray devices of the sensors of high-frequency induction heating equipment be designed?

The quenching, heat penetration, and welding of the workpiece are all performed using high-frequency induction equipment. As a professional manufacturer of induction heating equipment, Zhengzhou Gou's is a leader in the induction heating industry and has a good understanding of the equipment. Today, Zhengzhou Gou's technical staff will introduce to you how to design the water cooling and water spray device of the sensor?

(1)Water cooling device

The conductive plate and effective ring of the sensor are specially thickened. Water cooling is generally required. The sensor outlet water temperature should be lower than 66°C. When the cross-section of the effective circle is small, in order to ensure that the effective circle is fully cooled, the method of increasing the water pressure can be used. For example, the crankshaft ring linear inductor uses 0.6MPa high-pressure water for cooling. At this time, the allowable current carrying density of the effective circle is 1200A/mm2.

(2)Water spray device

There are two forms of sensor water spray devices, that is, the effective ring body is used as a water sprayer and an additional water sprayer. When designing a sprinkler device, the following points should be noted:

1) When the water inlet pipe of the sprinkler enters the water chamber, all water spray holes should spray out water jets uniformly at the same time, so that all parts can be cooled evenly.

2) When the workpiece is quenched simultaneously using high-frequency induction heating equipment, there should be 3-4 water spray holes per square centimeter of the quenching surface. Generally, it should be arranged in a checkerboard pattern with a drilling diameter of 1.5-1.8mm and a center line of the drilling. It should be perpendicular to the cold surface.

3) The sum of the cross-sectional areas of the sprinkler inlet pipes should generally be greater than or equal to the sum of the cross-sectional areas of all spray holes, so that the spray water pressure will not be lower than the inlet water pressure.

4) When the workpiece is scanned and quenched using a high-frequency induction heating power supply, whether it is sprayed by a sensor or an auxiliary water spray ring, it must be ensured that: the spray water does not splash back onto the surface being heated, and the pre-cooling time of the heated surface ( That is, the period from the end of heating of parts to the start of water spraying) should not be too long, generally no larger than ls. Otherwise, the surface of the parts will not be easy to harden.

The pre-cooling time actually changes with three factors: gap, water spray angle and part moving speed. When the gap is large and the moving speed is low, the water spray angle (the angle between the center line of the water spray hole and the axis of the part) should be larger, such as 45°-60°; when the gap is small and the moving speed is high, the water spray angle should be selected Smaller, such as 30°-45°. When the workpiece is quenched by induction scanning, the water spray hole diameter should be 2mm and the circumferential hole spacing should be 3.5-4mm.
