1. The process route of medium frequency induction quenching of the outer circle is blanking - normalizing - hot straightening - spheroidizing annealing - rough turning - stress relief treatment - fine turning of the outer circle and thread - medium frequency quenching - tempering - rough grinding of the outer circle and The raceway is aged at low temperature and the outer circle and raceway are finely ground.

2. It adopts 20OkW, 2500Hz medium frequency generator set and double bed horizontal quenching machine, with a quenching length of 2.5m. The front bed is equipped with a head three-jaw chuck and three brackets. The spindle speed is adjustable in the range of 4-80r/min. The rear bed is equipped with transformers and sensors for infinitely variable speed movement. Ball screws are generally machined with threaded raceways first, and then induction hardened. The heating ring and cooling ring of the inductor are both annular. The distance between the two rings is 10mm. The gap between the inner diameter of the induction ring and the outer circle of the raceway is 5mm. The direction of the water spray hole is perpendicular to the axis of the screw.

3.Technical requirements and quality inspection

Hardness: GCr15, GCr15SiMn, CrWMn and 9Mn2V steel are 58~62HRC.

Hardened layer: uniform thickness, no soft belt, depth of hardened layer at the bottom of thread ≥1mm. 

Microstructure: The 45° position where the top of the raceway contacts the steel ball and the three places at the bottom of the raceway are martensite grades 1-3.
