Speaking of gears, everyone is familiar with them. I believe some people know more than us. As an important part of automobiles and machine tools, gears are mechanical parts with teeth that mesh with each other. Therefore, the wear rate of gears is very fast, and how to improve the service life of gears has become a common concern. The emergence of gear quenching has greatly satisfied people's requirements. However, there are always defects in gear quenching using traditional equipment. With the emergence of high-frequency induction quenching machines, it not only solves the defects of traditional equipment, but also greatly improves gear quenching technology. Today, the editor will tell you about the process analysis of quenching heat treatment of gears by high-frequency induction quenching machine.
Gears use a high-frequency induction quenching machine for quenching heat treatment. Depending on the workpiece, the quenching methods are also different, such as overall gear quenching and gear single-tooth quenching. This is also the most commonly used quenching method for gears at present. Today, the editor will take the high-frequency induction quenching of a certain 40CrA steel cylindrical spur gear as an example to talk about the gear quenching process.
The material of a certain cylindrical spur gear is 40CrA steel, its m=5mm, the outer dimension is 136mm*157mm in diameter, and the tooth surface hardness is required to be 48-52HRC. For this reason, we need to perform quenching heat treatment on the gear. The treatment process specifications are as follows:
1. High-frequency induction heating surface quenching. High-frequency induction heating surface quenching is heated on a 120kw high-frequency induction heating machine and uses a single-turn ring inductor for continuous quenching. First, preheating is performed. The heating specifications are as follows: power supply voltage 380V, anode voltage 10.7kV, anode current 8.9A, and grid current 1.OA. The quenching cooling medium uses 10%-15% emulsion.
2. Low temperature tempering. Tempering temperature is 200~220℃, holding time is 60min.
The quality and service life of gears have an important impact on the overall operation of the car. Today, we briefly talked about the high-frequency quenching process of gears, and we hope it will help you. High-frequency induction annealing machine can perform quenching heat treatment on many parts of automobiles, such as half shafts, camshafts, crankshafts, etc.
