The spline shaft is the most common slender shaft part in various machine tools. Its working condition is that the spline sleeve slides on the spline shaft and rotates at a certain speed, and generally bears a considerable torque when rotating. The spline shaft is generally required to have high hardness, and the only way to increase its hardness is quenching heat treatment. Therefore, many manufacturers use medium frequency induction heating machines to quench the spline shaft.
The purpose of spline shaft quenching is to ensure the high hardness and high wear resistance of the peripheral surface of the spline teeth. Usually, medium frequency induction heating machine is used for quenching. The heating temperature is 860-900 ℃, and then sprayed with water for cooling. When quenching the spline shaft, if the distance between the workpiece and the inductor is small, it is easy to spark and damage the workpiece. If the distance is large, the heat-affected zone expands and it is easy to bend and deform, so the inductor is quite important.
The spline shaft adopts medium frequency induction heating machine for quenching heat treatment, the heating speed is fast, and the workpiece can reach the required temperature in a short period of time, and the heating speed is uniform. Therefore, the surface oxidation and decarburization of the workpiece are lighter, and most workpieces do not need gas protection. After the spline shaft is heat-treated by induction heating, there is a thicker tough area under the surface hard layer, which has better compressive internal stress. The fatigue resistance and breaking capacity of the workpiece are higher. More importantly, the medium frequency induction heating machine does not produce noise and dust, which greatly improves the working environment of workers.
