Through the analysis and practice summary of quenching cracks in 45 steel, it is proposed to improve the heat treatment process. That is, the induction quenching + low-temperature tempering process is used to replace the original heat treatment process. After the workpiece is quenched by IGBT medium frequency heating equipment, the surface hardness and strength increase, eliminating the hidden danger of quenching cracks. After the workpiece is tempered at low temperature, the residual stress generated during quenching is eliminated, the structure is stabilized, and the product performance is good.
After adopting the medium frequency induction heat treatment process, the performance of the 45 steel bottom bracket bowl reverse side mold is good, no quenching cracking defects were found, the workpiece quality is all qualified, the production runs normally, and the technical requirements and production requirements are met.
