High-speed steel uses medium-frequency induction heating equipment for high-temperature annealing heat treatment, and the effect is far better than ordinary annealing.

High-speed steel is an air-hardening high-alloy tool steel with a high carbon content. Both rolled products and forged products have high hardness. It is very important to soften it as much as possible through annealing to obtain better machinability. . At the same time, the annealing process will also affect the cutting life of the final tool. In order to ensure the quality of annealing, more and more manufacturers now use medium frequency induction heating equipment for annealing heat treatment, with good results.

High temperature annealing is a new annealing method that can greatly shorten the annealing cycle and improve the annealing quality. High-temperature annealing is usually performed using medium-frequency induction heating equipment, and the heating temperature is Ar1+ (10-20°C), that is, the annealing temperature is increased from 840-860°C for ordinary annealing to 880-920°C. The old annealing method maintains heat below the Ar1 point. Although the holding time is long, it cannot fully recrystallize and the steel cannot fully soften. During high-temperature annealing, the holding temperature is above the Ar1 point, and the phase transformation can be completed instantly. The phase transformation proceeds fully and complete recrystallization occurs, so the steel is fully softened.

The holding time of the high-temperature annealing process is greatly shortened, and the holding time of the cooling stage is almost canceled, so the annealing cycle is greatly shortened. High-temperature annealed steel has lower annealing hardness, better cutting processability, cutting efficiency can be increased by 20%, and the cutting life of the made tools is 15%-20% longer than that of ordinary annealed tools.

According to reports from many manufacturers, after high-speed steel is annealed at high temperatures by medium-frequency induction heating equipment, its plasticity and toughness have been greatly improved, meeting the needs of work. What's even better is that this process is suitable for large-scale production and can greatly improve workers' production efficiency.
